Bio
Markus Marschmann is a interdisciplinary visual artist, primarely working with glass.
His art practice, ranging from objects to installations, is inspired by extensive material research and experimentation, as well as his biographic/personal history.
He was born in 1992 in Eggenfelden, Germany and completed three apprenticeships as a scientific glassblower, artistic glassblower, and glassmaker and has been awarded as best scientific glassblower throughout Germany in 2012 at the Glasfachschule Zwiesel. Since 2011 he has been working in his own studio and in parallel has led and supported numerous hot shop and lampwork workshops and projects as a teaching assistant at Bild-Werk in Frauenau.
In 2021 he started the study of fine Art at the Institut for artistic Ceramic and Glass Hochschule Koblenz.

2013 – 2015 apprenticeship in glassblowing at the Glasfachschule Zwiesel, specialized school for glass education, passed examination at the end of the apprenticeship as state-approved glassblower
